Check your deliveries!

Friends! I have been informed by WhaleBacker (who's handling our fulfillment) that all the book packages have shipped! I've seen that some of you have already received your book packages, and if you haven't, you should be getting yours any day now!

As you get them, should you be so inclined, feel free to post a pic and/or let us know your thoughts on social media with the hashtag #CthulhuJr please! Feel free to tag me (I'm on all social media platforms at @dirkmanning) and Scoot McMahon as well!

The journey in getting this book printed has been more tumultuous than we anticipated when we launched the campaign (one more time, thanks paper shortages and supply chain issues), but now that the book is here, I hope you will find it as worth the wait as we do.

I'm exceptionally, EXCEPTIONALLY proud of the work Scoot, colorist Sean Burses, and editor Leah Lederman did with me on this book, and I most sincerely hope you and all who you share it with will find it worth reading again and again!

Shipping or delivery issue?

Thus far the feedback all the feedback we've received regarding the fulfillment by WhaleBacker has been very positive (as expected, which is why we went with them), but in the event there's an error or issue with your delivery, please email [email protected] with your concern. I expect you'll get nothing but timely and appropriate feedback, but if you have any additional concerns, please email me directly through here as well, OK?

Shirts and Plushies imminent...

As mentioned in the last update, the shirts and/or plushies will be shipping upon arrival, and they're en route, and I'll keep you posted as they arrive. I am as anxious to see them as you are, friends!

Keep an eye on your mailboxes for your limited edition hardcovers and Stretch Goals!

Hello friends!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to announce that I received word today that all the book orders (with all the Stretch Goals) will be packaged and shipped tomorrow!

I've made no secret of the fact that this book was caught-up in both the paper shortages and shipping delays, causing them to be arriving a little later to all of you than I wanted, but here's some other *good* news in that regard:

Orders for the TPB/softcover edition of the book with comic shops and book stores surpassed even the initial print run, meaning Source Point Press had to IMMEDIATELY print more TPB editions of the book? Why am I telling you all this? Because this means that those of you who got the Kickstarter Exclusive Hardcover Edition of the book now have a book that's even more rare! Congrats -- and again -- THANK YOU to all of you who ordered it!

 The plushies are officially on the boat... after someone tried to light them on fire!

OK, OK, that "headline" may be a little more salacious than it needs to be, but I have to tell you, friends: It was only very recently that I learned that when you manufacture plushie toys, there are all kinds of tests the toys have to go through, including flammability tests, apparently. You know... for the children.

That being said, if you ordered a plushie, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY TO LIGHT YOUR PLUSHIE ON FIRE WHEN YOU GET IT!!!

Now that all the tests have been completed, though, the plushies are on the open seas and on their way here. As soon as they arrive they will be packed -- along with the shirts -- and shipped out. I did not want to keep any of you waiting any longer on the books, though, so I hope you don't mind the two separate shipments, especially that I'm not getting "on the road" for the "20 Years of Terror" Tour.

As always, if you have any questions, please drop me a Direct Message through here and I'll get back to you ASAP. Please be aware that I'm going to be at signing and convention appearances every weekend in March, so if there's a small delay in me getting back to you, that's why.

Otherwise, I am very, VERY excited about you getting your books and most sincerely look forward to your thoughts on them, friends!

Do you have something extra special?

Books are here, and bookplates are being signed!

They say a  picture is worth a thousand words, so...

A few days ago I spent an evening signing a HUGE stack of the Kickstarter Exclusive CTHULHU JR. bookplates. For some reason I "dared" myself to get it done in 24 hours, and while I did... my hand and shoulder paid the price the next day! Lesson learned!

The bookplates are now in Scoot McMahon's hands, and he's signing and remarking them as we speak! From there they'll go to Source Point Press headquarters and be prepped for shipping with your KS packages!

Oh, and as the photos reveal, in order to keep things fresh, I thirteen (and only thirteen) of the bookplates in *GOLD*... so if you get one of those, consider yourself extra-extra lucky!

Speaking of Extra-Extra Lucky...

Those of you who pledged for the KS Exclusive Hardcover are going to find yourselves in position of something extra special, as I received word from Source Point Press that the TPB edition of CTHULHU JR. sold-out at the distributor level, triggering an automatic reprint! This means that your HC editions are even more special, friends! Congrats -- and thank you for your support! The word-of-mouth hype on this project has been huge... and the pre-sales support that!

Plushies are on their way...

The final part of fulfillment -- the plushies -- are also on the boat and on their way here, and once they arrive shipping will commence immediately! There's a chance, depending on timing, that the book packages may be sent separate from the plushies (for those of you who ordered them), and I'll keep you posted on that, too!

Just know that I very much most sincerely appreciate you and all your support so very much, I can't wait for you to see the books, and that I'll be in touch with an update again soon!

Hardcovers are here! TPBs are here! Plushies are en route!

These books are so gorgeous...

Look upon what I now have in my possession!

Both the hardcovers and the TPBs are absolutely stunning, friends! I know we've had a long wait on these books, but let me tell ya'... the quality on these is so good that the wait has truly been worth it. I just keep picking them up and thumbing through them. Scoot's art and Sean's colors are so vibrant!

Delivery update!

I've been told the plushies are en route, and Scoot and I will be signing and remarking the bookplates that come with the hardcovers in the coming week!

I'll be getting on the road for the "20 Years of Terror" tour in March, and I would like for you to all have your books by then so you can collect extra signatures should you wish, so I'll be talking to Source Point Press and I'll be keeping you posted!

I probably don't say this enough, but thanks for your patience and support on this one, friends. Doing the books and the plushies at the same time -- combined with the paper shortage -- definitely caused this campaign to fulfill slower than I wanted, but, again, now that I'm getting to see the results first hand, it's certainly worth it!

So let's just start with this, shall we?

This photo is from the Source Point Press warehouse, friends! After several unexpected shipping delays (blame R'lyeh?) the books have arrived and are being unpacked!

Yes, these are the TPB editions... but it's the first photo I got so I wanted to send it right away! Yay! Thank you for your patience!

And about the plushies...

Furthermore, we have received word from the toy factory that the Cthulhu Jr. plushies are on a boat, so it's our hope they'll be here in about 45 days! Huzzah!

I assure you, I am as anxious as all of you are to get these books and plushies, and I'm exceptionally excited that we're now this close to making it happen!

My current plan is to head to the SPP warehouse next week, so if possible I'm going to take some more photos then and I will keep you all posted!

Again... THANK YOU for your patience! We're in the home stretch now, and I'll keep you all posted again very soon!

WE'RE SO CLOSE NOW,AND THE STARS HAVE ENTERED THEIR PROPER ALIGNMENT! Yay!
